There is a new Dollar Value formula for 2006.

(.016 x milk lbs) + (1.5 x fat lbs) + (1.95 x protein lbs) + [(350-scc/1000) x .00074 x milk lbs /100]

 

Herds with dollar value of product or milk above DHIA averages:

The codes defined below pertain to the following reports: High Herd Honor Roll and High Herds by Breed

3X -- an "X" indicates that 3 times daily milking was used for a least 25% of the cow-days

The formula used to calculate dollar value is:

2005 and earlier:  Dollar Value = (.01 x milk lbs) + (1.15 x fat lbs) + (2.55 x protein lbs)

Starting 2006:  Dollar Value = (.016 x milk lbs) + (1.5 x fat lbs) + (1.95 x protein lbs) + [(350-scc/1000) x .00074 x milk lbs /100]

 

Percent milk sold is the annual average comparing DHIA sample day milk to milk shipments
