Software Tip#10 Herd Parameters

7/16/2015

How do Dairy Comp and Scout decide when cows should be on the list for cows due soon, to dry, and any other list? Herd Parameters allow you to decide how many days prior to these events that the animal will be put on your action lists. To get to this feature go to File at the top of your screen then Alter. Select 2 on the list which is Herd Parameters. Next, you will see a column of numbers along with a corresponding description. To change a parameter click on the current number and type in the desired amount of days.
